Declaration on Accessibility

Federal Gazette

Bundesanzeiger Verlag endeavours to render its websites and mobile applications accessible in accordance with national legislation implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the accessibility of public sector bodies' websites and mobile applications. This Declaration on Accessibility applies to www.bundesanzeiger.de and https://www.banz.esef-viewer.de.

Status of compatibility with requirements

The above-mentioned legal foundations have been taken into account to the greatest extent possible in the construction and further development of this website.

On 28 February 2023, T-Systems Multimedia Solutions GmbH, upon the commission of the Federal Monitoring Agency for Accessibility of Information Technology (BFIT-Bund), placed the website www.bundesanzeiger.de under simplified monitoring in accordance with BITV 2.0.

According to the review report, the following content is not considered to be accessible:

Review criterion for legibility and perceivability:

  • Individual graphic control elements are not labelled correctly or not completely, which means they cannot be read out correctly or in the correct order by a screen reader.
  • The focus is difficult to recognise on some interactive elements, as the highlighting is only performed by shading or a different font colour.
Adaptability of review criterion:

  • The hierarchical structure is sometimes not adhered to with headings.
  • Some graphics are labelled as headings. Individual form or input fields and data tables on the "search" and "search result" sites are not correctly labelled. As a result, their information, structure and associations are unrecognisable.
  • Individual input fields are only labelled with a placeholder, which is screened out when the focus is received.
  • Frame lines are missing. This makes it difficult to distinguish the site area, modal dialogues and displayed content when the contrast is adjusted.
Review criterion of navigability:

  • No jump labels are provided at the top of the site with which repeating areas can be skipped.
  • The graphical control element "up" only scrolls the page upwards and does not place the focus at the top of the page or at the top of the main content.
Robustness review criterion:

  • Some interactive elements are provided without status information such as name, role and value.
Review criterion PDF:

  • Some PDF files are not barrier-free.

Preparation of this Declaration of Accessibility

This Declaration was prepared on 01 July 2025.

The Declaration of Accessibility is based on the self-assessment carried out on 30 May 2025 and on the above-mentioned review report issued by T-Systems Multimedia Solutions GmbH on 28 February 2023 upon the commission of the Federal Monitoring Agency for Accessibility of Information Technology (BFIT-Bund).

Since then, optimisation measures have been continuously carried out on the basis of this review report.
